Abstract:
Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is a pivotal commercial oilseed crop in china, and peanut improvement breeding has focused much of its attention on quality traits and yield. In this study,we investigated the yield and major quality trait in national regional trail (NRT) peanut varieties in south china based on the data of agronomic traits collected in 2011-2015,and then analyzed the trend change of quality and yield in five consecutive years. Our results suggested that the contents of total oil content and protein content presented decreasing in regional experiments peanut varieties from 2011 to 2015,reduced 1.14% and 2.06%,respectively. The oleic acid content of all varieties exhibited increasing at the period of 2012-2014,and the value increased from 42.98% to 45.3%,but the content of linoleic acid showed non-significant opposite result at the same phase in comparison with 2011. Meanwhile, quality traits variation of different peanut varieties did not showed negative effect on trend vibration of different years by integrative analyzing the characters of the peanut varieties came from different breeding institution. In addition, most current breed peanut variety displayed a situation of decline via analyzing the trend vibration of yield in 2011-2015,the annual yield have decreased from 283.1kg to 251.6kg,and that never affected by the discrepancy between different NRT peanut varieties. Taken together, our study suggested that the majority quality, including oil content, protein content, and yield exhibited downward trend in 2011-2015,this result should be focused on breeding research;and our data was able to be used for providing theoretical guidance for cultivating peanut variety with high yield and good quality.
