In order to evaluate the Cd resistance of pepper in yellow soil and calcareous soil, this study prepared the soil which is at different pollution levels and contaminates different types of Cd, then planted the pepper 8024 seedlings in Cd contaminated soil, and tested the seedling growth and physiological characteristics of pepper in different types of Cd contaminated soil. The results showed that the plant height, root biomass, stem biomass and leaf biomass of pepper decreased with the increasing of Cd concentration in the soil, and the height and biomass of pepper in the yellow soil were higher than those in the calcareous soil. MDA content showed a rising trend, and the same concentration, MDA content of pepper planted in yellow soil was higher than that of calcareous soil. SOD activity first increased and then decreased, the concentration of Cd in yellow soil in 2.5 mg/kg SOD activity reached the highest, but the concentration of Cd in calcareous soil in 0.5 mg/kg the highest. POD activity showed an upward trend in the yellow soil, but showed a downward trend in calcareous soil. Comprehensive evaluation by subordinate function method was conducted. The resistance to Cd D value of pepper which planted in yellow soil was greater than that in calcareous soil. The results showed that the high concentration of Cd inhibited the growth of pepper seedlings, and pepper in yellow soils was higher than that of Cd resistance in calcareous soil. The results provided a theoretical basis for pepper cultivation and soil improvement. |
