Abstract:
Carex brevicuspis is one of the most widely distributed plants in Dongting Lake. It has large biomass and high nutritional value, and is an excellent animal husbandry feed resource. In order to reveal the physiological response mechanism of the plant under different fertilization and clipping intensity, and thus to provide basis for the development of the feed plant, the physiological and biochemical changes of the plant under different fertilization and clipping conditions were studied. The results show: With the increasing of fertilization concentration, the soluble protein content of C. brevicuspis decreased first and then increased, and the highest content increased by 140.01%; All of the contents of chlorophyll, soluble sugar, proline, superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), malondialdehyde (MDA) increased first and then decreased. With the increasing of the clipping frequency, the chlorophyll content of C. brevicuspis decreased by 21.30%. SOD showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing, soluble protein decreased first and then increased, and POD and CAT increased. The results illustrated that fertilization intensity of 20 g/m2 can promote thee photosynthesis of C. brevicuspis, and increased the activity of the enzyme; Slipping frequency of two times can promote synthesis of osmolytes, and offered the physiological basis for recovering growth of C. brevicuspis.
