Abstract:
      Plant extracts are single or mixed compounds extracted from plants by physical and chemical methods. They has the biological functions of growth-promoting, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiviral and immunity enhancing. As feed additives, plant extracts can improve the growth performance, meat quality, antioxidant capacity, immunity and intestinal health of broilers. The extraction process, active ingredients and experimental conditions of plant extracts affect the effect of plant extracts. This paper summarized the biological functions, influencing factors of plant extracts and their application in broiler production, to provide theoretical basis for the wide application of plant extracts in broiler production.
