Abstract: |
【Objective】The characteristics of herbaceous plant community in the riparian zone along the reach
of Chebei River in South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou were studied to provide a theoretical basis for the
restoration and protection of the ecological functions of the urban riparian zone.【Method】Taking the methods of line
inspection and sample plot investigation, the indexes of species and coverage of herbaceous plants in the sample plots were
obtained, the importance value and diversity indexes of species in the community were calculated, and the community
structure characteristics were analyzed.【Result】There are 60 species of herbaceous plants in this riparian zone,
belonging to 28 families and 54 genera, and the distribution of families and genera is relatively scattered. The compositae
plants accounted for 18.33%, and Bidens pilosa var. radiata was the dominant species in this community. There were 40
species of native plants,20 exotic plants and 11 invasive plants. The Shannon-Weiner index,Simpson index and Pielou
evenness index were 2.66,0.86 and 0.71,respectively.【Conclusion】The species composition of the herbaceous plant
community in the riparian zone is relatively rich, the diversity of a few families and genera is prominent, and the community
structure is unstable. The invasive plants predominate and there is a risk of the increase of invasive species. It is suggested to
select native plants to optimize the plant structure of riparian zone, and carry out prevention and control of invasive plants. |
