【Objective】Poverty alleviation by tourism is one of the important ways to get rid of poverty and become
better off in poor mountainous areas. Analyzing and summarizing the model of tourism poverty alleviation in different
regions will help to improve and enhance the tourism poverty alleviation work methods and results.【Method】Based on
the perspective of case analysis, Langmei Village and Xiajing Village in Guangdong Province were selected as the survey
objects, and field surveys, interviews with residents, in-depth interviews with key figures and non-participatory observationmethods were used to explore the process of different tourism poverty alleviation models, the effectiveness of poverty alleviation
and the optimization path with a focus on government support, villager participation, tourism revenue, and environmental
improvement.【Results】The analysis revealed that the tourism poverty alleviation development model in Langmei Village is a
typical blood-transfusion type, with advantages of strong government support and tourism poverty alleviation and disadvantages
of insufficient endogenous motivation and insufficient villager participation. The tourism poverty alleviation model in Xiajing
Village is a typical blood-generating type with the advantages of strong endogenous motivation and extensive participation of
villagers and disadvantages of less government support and rough start in tourism. Based on symbiosis theory, with combination
of the advantages of transfusion-type and blood-forming type models, the implementation of the "three-step" tourism poverty
alleviation optimization model was put forward, and targeted development paths for regional tourism poverty alleviation at all
stages were proposed.【Conclusion】The effectiveness of poverty alleviation by blood-generating tourism is much higher than
that of blood-transfusion type. The improved model of poverty alleviation by blood-circulation tourism can further improve the
effectiveness of poverty alleviation and help to achieve true poverty alleviation under current standards. |
