Abstract:
【Objective】In order to improve the productivity of Chinese fir forest land in Shimen National Forest Park and meet the needs of the growth of large-diameter timber and multi-objective forest management, the study aimed to investigate the soil nutrient contents and provide references for balanced fertilization.【Method】Based on systematic evaluation of the soil physical and chemical properties, the soil nutrient demand of the large-diameter timber was calculated.【Result】The pH value of soil in the survey area varied from 4.60 to 4.87, the bulk density of soil displayed as ≤ 1.35 g/cm3, and the total porosity spanned from 30.46% to 50.25%. The contents of soil organic matter and nitrogen were on the third level and above, the content of phosphorus was on the fifth level and below, and the content of potassium was on the fourth level and below. Correlation analysis revealed that soil bulk density of layer A (0-20 cm) was significantly different from that of layer B (20-40 cm) and layer C (40-60 cm). Soil total porosity of layer A was significantly different from that of layer C. The pH value of soil was negatively correlated with organic matter, total nitrogen, alkali hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium, while the organic matter was positively correlated with total nitrogen and available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The total nitrogen was positively correlated with alkali hydrolyzed nitrogen.【Conclusion】In Shimen National Forest Park, there was no significant difference between soil bulk density and total porosity among layers A, B and C, the levels appeared to be similar among various work areas, and the soil was acid. The contents of soil organic matter and nitrogen were rich, but the contents of soil phosphorus and potassium were low. For balanced fertilization, phosphate fertilizer, potassium fertilizer or compound fertilizer of phosphorus and potassium should be selected for topdressing.
