Analysis of Farmers’ Willingness to Adopt New Technologies and the Influencing Factors Under the Background of Concurrent Business |

Abstract: |
【Objectire】The study was conducted to clarify the influencing factors of farmers’ concurrent business on the adoption of production technology, and provide basis for the development of concurrent business farmers’ agricultural production and the promotion of new varieties and technologies. 【Method】From the perspective of concurrent business, the production behavior of 214 concurrent business farmers in Northeast China was investigated. Binary logistic model was used to analyze the influencing factors of concurrent business farmers adopting new technologies. 【Result】The results show that years of education have a significant effect on farmers’ planting willingness. According to the survey data, 58.9% of them have been educated for more than 9 years, which provides a better guarantee for the promotion of new things. The proportion of labor force has an extremely significant effect on farmers’ planting choice intention. The higher the proportion of migrant workers, the more the farmers’ own interests can be guaranteed, and the stronger the willingness to adopt new technologies. On the premise of ensuring family income, farmers are more willing to adopt new technologies to better safeguard their own interests. 【Conclusion】Based on the research results, in regard to how can farmers better adopt new technologies under the background of concurrent business, some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward, such as perfecting the land circulation system, strengthening the cultivation of new farmers and the introduction of talents, encouraging innovation, enhancing guidance and government participation. |
