Based on the data of China爷s fruit industry from 1992 to 2011, this paper estimates the geographic concentration degree and the international competitiveness of five major fruits and fruit industry in China. Then, the author builds a fixed effects model with variable coefficients to quantitatively analyze the relationship between the geographic concentration and international competitiveness of China爷s fruit industry. The empirical results show that, there is a significant positive correlation between geographic concentration and the international competitiveness of fruit industry. The agglomeration of apple, pear and citrus is conducive to the improvement of international competitiveness, while the geographic concentration and the international competitiveness of banana and grape industry presents a negative correlation, mainly due to the accession to the WTO changes the export environment and the reality that most banana and grape serves domestic consumption.
